Hi there, I'm Sasja and I'm a Front-end Developer, Designer and Illustrator.
Hi there, I'm Sasja and I'm a Front-end Developer, Designer and Illustrator.
My current expertise lies within Vue.js. For up to a year (by now), I've worked full-time on Vue-based projects ranging from stand-alone to WordPress-based and worked with both the Options API and the more modern Composition API.
I've spent many hours working with Figma and am confident in my skills when it comes to working with this tool. I am familiar with component-based design, styles, advanced prototyping, and variables.
In the past, I've created several projects using Node.js. Due to this, I feel confident in my ability to switch between frameworks and quickly learn the ins and outs of each.
Documentation is a crucial part of development. Because of this, I've learned to work with Storybook and am able to add it to new as well as existing projects.

Over the years during my studies my love for the web has grown exponentially. I started off as an artist, taking the course Game Art at Mediacollege Amsterdam. During that course I played around a little with code by making my first portfolio site. It was terribly messy, using hundreds of divs and messy Javascript logic that I didn't even understand myself. No wonder I initially wasn't very interested in coding!

Later on in 2020 I started studying Communication and Multimedia Design at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Not a great year to start off, I know.
It was during this program that my passion for web development truly bloomed.
One of the first sites I built during was an informational site of my dad's company. It didn't look great but it made me realise how much fun it could actually be to create something using code. It was even responsive!
(A simple little site for my dads company. We never actually used it, but it was a fun project.)
And the rest is history :)
By now I've graduated from my latest course, Communication and Multimedia Design with a Bachelor of Science and stepped right into my first job where I started off initially as an intern.
I currently work mainly with Vue.js and wish to develop my skills further. I've grown quite passionate about the connection between Design and Development and have been trying my best to keep my knowledge of both up to date.
