New website rework

Motivating myself

Last year I started working on a new website design, in a repository called portfolio-blog-2025. Well... By now it's 2026 and I never got to finish it in time. Instead, I suddenly felt like redoing it on a whim and managed to whip up something new within a few days.

that's the site you're looking at right now (As of May 2026). It has some elements from my original 2025 redesign, mainly the illustrations, but besides that it's very barebones.

I've decided to follow the principle of "Just make it exist first. You can make it good later." which is something that can apply to many creative processes.

I tend to be pretty good at procrastinating, especially when I'm not faced with the task at hand regularly. So, by making it exist first and publishing it, I look at it whenever I visit my site, which hopefully motivates me to work on it more often.

The stack

The stack of this site is pretty similar to the previous one. I use Nuxt 4 as the base, together with Storyblok as the headless CMS. To host I use Netlify.

That's pretty much it, in Nuxt I use a few modules such as Nuxt Image for better image optimisation and Nuxt A11y for accessibility hints.

For fun I decided to look back at some older versions of my site.

Looking forward

Right now this site is pretty minimal, but functional. I hope to add better designs and new features over time.
