Weeknotes #19

Highlights

Last week I had another Drawclub session. This time we had some members pose so we could draw them, though eventually I switched to drawing my own thing. Either way, I still had fun.

On Thursday I went out for dinner with my parents and uncle + aunt which was good as well. I've been trying to eat a little less meat, so I went for salmon. I feel like salmon is often a bit of a hit or miss, but this time it was a hit.

On Sunday I went to the Formula 1 Exhibition with my parents, brother, and nephew. It was my dad's birthday a while ago, and since he's a pretty big Formula 1 fan, we thought it'd be nice to go there with the family.

Even though my obsession with F1 has cooled down to a simmer, it was an enjoyable experience. The exhibition was set up nicely, though it lacked a bit of interactivity. It was really interesting to see Grosjean's cockpit from his crash, though.

Consumed

  • Ballerina: Watched this on Friday with my friend. It was about 90% violence. The pew-pew-boom-boom kind. Not my thing per se, but still good. (3.5/5)

  • KPop Demon Hunters: This movie was surprisingly good. I'm not big on K-pop, but the style of this movie is immaculate, and the story, though a little corny, was nice as well. But it's basically a musical with the main character behaving similarly to Elsa, so... (5/5)

  • Baldurs Gate 3: Still playing my Dark Urge run for this. Just got to act III. Minthara pookie.
