Weeknotes #21

July 18, 2025

Highlights

This week, on Monday, I went to the F1 movie with my parents as a belated Father's Day present. More on that under "Consumed."

On Tuesday, I went to the hairdresser, which was badly needed since my dyed hair had grown out up to 1.5 cm or so, and the color was quite faded. I didn't have anything special done with my hair this time though, just some new dye and shorter bangs. I'm letting it grow longer a bit for now.

On Wednesday, I had another Drawclub session, but I didn't feel like drawing, so I instead brought along my laptop and worked on my new portfolio/blog site. Progress is slow, but still going! There are several things I want to improve compared to my current site, such as dividing the Weeknotes with the actual blog posts, proper tags and filtering, cleaner code, and so on.

Tonight (it's Friday currently), I'm going out for dinner at a Korean BBQ restaurant with my friends to celebrate one of their birthdays, and we'll probably go to the movies as well. Looking forward to it!

Song of the week

Does a little dance

Consumed

  • Superman(2025): Watched this last Saturday with my friend. Good movie! I was never too interested in Superman, but have seen all the previous movies. This one is a little more 'woke' and they've dealing with a topic which feels VERY similar to a certain genocide happening currently... (4/5)

  • F1 the movie: Watched this one with my parents. I enjoyed it! Especially the racing scenes where really good and I kind of wished we went to the 4D version of this for the moving seats. The movie is REALLY long though. And I caught myself waiting for the next race to happen quite often. (4/5)

  • Murderbot: The season finale released last week and I finally got to watching it on Thursday. For me it was clearly the best episode of the entire season. I personally loved seeing the massive "home base"(?) they were at and how the entire arc ended. Excited for season 2.

  • Baldurs Gate 3: Reached act three which always slows me down a bit... But still good.
