Highlights
So last week, I started playing ice hockey again, which was a lot of fun. I did have a pretty bad muscle ache, though. Then this Monday, I had a regular training session, which was nice as well. There's quite a few people I get along with now, which makes the experience more enjoyable. I need a moment to complain, though:
I pay 570 euros to play a season of ice hockey as a TRAINEE. Which means I play two hours a week without playing matches.
You also have different groups which are based partially on your skill level and if you play matches. I'm comfortable at the level of 5th division, but play with the 6th division since I'm a trainee, which means you're put in the lowest group by default.
The training hours are on Monday and on Thursday. However, on Thursday, the training for the 6th division is really late. I wouldn't be home until like midnight when I have work the next day. We had been told that you can reach out about scheduling issues, in which case you can play with other teams. I sent the organizer a message asking if I can play with the 5th division on Thursdays. He in turn asked the trainer, who didn't respond in time, so the organizer told me it's fine, and I can just join them.
Well, when I got there onto the ice and double checked with the trainer, he basically started acting like a dick, asking why I didn't reach out to him, yada yada. The moment I said, 'I'm a trainee,' he basically dismissed me and said I could only join them for warm up.
That really pissed me off because it came over as incredibly disrespectful, especially since I've been playing ice hockey for years now and he trained me for many of those as well. So I left, and I'm petty enough to never join his trainings again, which means I'll only ever be able to do one hour on Mondays. Which means I'm paying 570 EUROS to train just one hour a week for a couple months.
Now you might think, why not just play matches as well so you can join 5th division? Well, that would cost me like 820 EUROS. WTF.
Anyway. Last week I also planned a holiday to Disneyland Paris in November with a friend, which is exciting. I love random holidays. Also, I randomly bought a tin whistle and have been practicing daily. I still play like a noob, but I know some melodies now and am generally having fun playing it.

Avatar - The way of water: They did a rerelease of this on Wednesday that I went to with a friend. It really is one of those movies you need to see on the big screen.
